Finally done with Japan?
written on Friday, December 20, 2024 @ 11:42 AM ✈
I know I posted not too long ago about our second Japan trip, but we just came back (a few days ago) from our third Japan trip! 3 weeks was too long; we were feeling pretty drained, despite there still being new things to explore -- they weren't that different. Our meals started drifting to grocery store bentos and convenience store drinks haha. They're good though! It's just, when you travel, you should be trying the cultural cuisine at restaurants or something, right? Around the last week, I was ready to go home and indulge in my comfy space. Am I "finally done" with Japan though? I would say I'm down to go again, of course, but not so soon after. I still have places I want to go, things I want to do there. I think it's good to travel elsewhere, but I'm getting that fear of the unknown again--which I initially had for Japan but now it's just the norm. Maybe if I prepped myself more for a different country. I did quite a lot of prep prior to going to Japan, and I also had all this knowledge (assumptions?) about Japan too. I remember having Japan-withdrawals after the first trip, but I think, knowing that I will probably visit Japan again, I'm not as sad haha. ✦ . ⁺ . ✦ . ⁺ . ✦ (enjoying these emoji borders 🤭) Anywho, it's the end of the 2024! The festivities are here~ Yesterday, we celebrated Christmas early with Robin's siblings, and we exchanged Christmas gifts. Proud because this year, we actually put some effort into gifts haha. It was also Ivan's graduation, so we had sushi for lunch. After gift exchange we had Jollibee for a light dinner. Today we are also busy with celebration for Misha's marriage (they had the ceremony in Oct of this year, I think. Oh how time flew). Next week, we'll have lunch/dinner on Christmas at my family's place. And I'll be meeting up with Mina, Jessica, and Stephanie before that, on Monday. Whee~ Eh. I don't wanna talk about the current situation with job-hunting and whatnot.

we live under the same sky
“To put away aimlessness and weakness, and to begin to think with purpose, is to enter the ranks of those strong ones who only recognize failure as one of the pathways to attainment; who make all conditions serve them, and who think strongly, attempt fearlessly, and accomplish masterfully.”
- James Allen Quotes
Sometimes I wonder how people see me and what they think of me. It scares me a bit, honestly. I am sure though, that what they think of me,
what they think my life is, is a complete misperception. I have always tried to show myself as a carefree person, as someone who wont get bothered
because of public judgements. I am sure my friend and family think there is nothing going wrong in my life, that I do not worry enough, that
I am always happy. And I am sure they probably somewhat hate me for it because, lets admit it, there is nothing worse than seeing someone
whose life seems so perfect while yours is a complete mess. Truth is, I have become an expert at pretending. I think we are all experts
or at least we are getting there.
I kept the image on the left bc it was kawaii-ne~ & this above bc I really liked what the creator wrote ^^
